Description:
Complete upgrade and reconstruction of approximately 3.5km of the Dably-Nungil Rd north of Bowenville
Works were undertaken during the wettest year on record under trying conditions along the myall creek and its fertile flood plains.
Full excavation and subgrade replacement and stabilisation of base course.
Scope:
Earthworks, drainage, concrete works, installation of culverts, pavement construction, in-situ stabilisation of floodway, bitumen seal, line marking, installation of road furniture.
Challenges:
Continual changing conditions in black soil plains and various pavement types.
