Description: 

Pavement widening and sealing of 5 km of road formation as part of the NDRRA Betterment Works. 

Scope: 

Traffic control, environmental management, clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping, road excavation, embankment construction, subgrade treatment, culvert extensions, pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and road furniture.

Challenges: 

Large areas of black soil underlying the road formation removed and replaced with gravels to provide a stable road foundation.
